I am a Foundation Year student looking to move onto my Psychology degree soon. Foundation Year was an opportunity to get a feel for the university and how everything works, it was also exciting to know that I’d be meeting students who would follow me all the way through to year 4! Newman have been brilliant in working with me to ensure that I had the best experience during Covid-19, and I couldn’t fault them.

My chosen studies are in Working with Children, Young People and Families and this is purely down to the fact of me being power driven to make a positive change and impact on and in an individual’s life. It will not be easy, but I’m willing and have the strength to do so!
Newman’s foundation year has been a crazy challenge in itself, being mainly online via Zoom, but I’ve developed in so many ways especially with building my confidence. This is a year I will recommend to anyone.
I chose to write about revenge porn as I feel this is a very taboo subject which truthfully needs to be spoke upon and dealt with more! People’s lives are being torn apart as where the perpetrators get away with a guilt free life. I have many opinions on this subject and would be more than happy to expand and create a campaign in future to help any victims who feel scared to ask for help! My door is always open.
