History BA

As human beings we desire to craft meaning, why are we here? History has provided a way for me to understand my purpose and has given me innumerable ideas of how I could more effectively contribute to the cause of social justice, which is a part of the mission of which Newman University is committed. Foundation year changed my life, in more ways than I can comprehend. I’d recommend it to anyone.

I wished to explore how mental health and wellbeing has been affected by the digital world as these are incredibly personal to me, so it felt as though I could speak about it through the eyes of experience. In the face of an emergent digital civilization, it pays to be aware of the impact of screen time on our lives. This piece was mainly informed by neuroscience, another passion of mine but also modern society in terms of inequality.
